The 44th Annual Parbold Hill Race will took place on Saturday February 16th at 2:00pm. The race started at the Richard Durning’s school, Bispham Green and went over Parbold Hill via farmers’ fields, roads and mud tracks before returning to the school 6.75 miles later. The weather for this year’s race was perfect, but conditions underfoot were extremely muddy. This year’s race was sponsored by The Endurance Store Visit Joe Lee’s website for the results of the 2007 race and John Schofield’s UKresults website for the 2008, - 2013 results. David McAleavy has some photographs of the 2013 race. David Stonehouse has posted a full race report of the 2012 race at run247.com and Sam Luk has written a blog Click on the Sportsunday image A course map and elevation profile are on the Sanoodi and Garmin Connect websites. See what runners are saying about our race on the Runners World website. Click on the map to “fly” over the course (Googlemaps plugin and activex required).

Skelmersdale Boundary Harriers would like to thank family and friends for their marshalling and support. We would also like to thank Richard Durning’s School and the Farmer’s Arms for the use of their facilities, various farmers for allowing us to cross their land, the Red Cross for first aid and Chris Lyons for the “shower”. This race couldn’t happen without you.
Unfortunately, a bad fall by one of the runners in the 2010 race resulted in an injury which required assistance from the North West Air Ambulance and the Red Cross. Please visit their websites to see if there is any way you can help them.
